How to Use QuizMaster AI

Quick Start - Scan & Solve

  1. Open your quiz or question page in your browser
  2. Click the QuizMaster AI extension icon
  3. Click the "Scan & Solve" button
  4. Wait a few seconds for AI to process the screenshot
  5. View questions, answers, and explanations instantly

Using the Scan & Solve Feature

The Scan & Solve feature uses advanced AI vision technology to:

  • Extract Questions: Automatically detects all questions on your screen
  • Identify Question Types: Recognizes MCQs and regular questions
  • Provide Answers: Delivers accurate answers for each question
  • Generate Explanations: Offers detailed reasoning for better understanding

Ask AI Feature

The Ask AI button opens an interactive chat interface where you can:

  • Ask study-related questions
  • Get explanations on complex topics
  • Seek help with homework or assignments
  • Have a conversation about any academic subject

How to use:

  1. Click the "Ask AI" button
  2. Type your question in the chat box
  3. Press Enter or click the send button
  4. Receive instant AI-powered responses

Understanding the Results

After scanning, you'll see:

  • Question: The extracted question text
  • Options: All multiple choice options (for MCQs)
  • Answer: The correct answer highlighted in green
  • Explanation: Detailed reasoning and context
  • Summary: Quick overview of all answers

Best Practices

  • Clear Screenshots: Ensure questions are clearly visible and readable
  • Good Lighting: Avoid glare or shadows on the screen
  • Full Questions: Make sure complete questions with options are visible
  • One Page at a Time: Scan one page/section for best results
  • Wait for Processing: Give the AI a few seconds to analyze

Supported Question Types

  • Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs): Questions with options A, B, C, D
  • True/False Questions: Binary choice questions
  • Short Answer Questions: Questions requiring brief responses
  • Fill in the Blanks: Completion-type questions

Switching Between Modes

To switch from results view to chat and vice versa:

  • Click "Ask AI" to open the chat interface
  • Click "Scan & Solve" when in chat to return to scanning mode
  • Your chat history is saved and will be available when you return

Troubleshooting

  • No Questions Detected: Ensure questions are clearly visible and try rescanning
  • Incorrect Answers: AI is highly accurate but not perfect - always verify important answers
  • Slow Processing: Complex pages may take longer to process
  • Connection Errors: Check your internet connection and try again
  • Extension Not Working: Try refreshing the page or restarting your browser
